Ever wonder what it would be like to be a pilot? For $129.00, you can take a discovery flight and find out the joy of flying. A Discovery Flight is an actual half hour first lesson for the Private Pilot Certificate. It is introductory in nature, and is designed to show you what flying an airplane is like, a chance to experience what learning to fly is all about, and to meet the staff and tour our Flight Training facility.
The Discovery Flight is not just an airplane ride. The Discovery Flight is separated into three parts; preflight briefing, the flight , and post flight briefing. You will fly the plane with a experienced instructor and learn first-hand how easy it is to become a pilot. You will learn how airplanes operate and actually take the controls, all under the guidance of a Rick Aviation FAA Certified Flight Instructor.
After you've landed safely, you will receive a logbook endorsed by your instructor, recording the time that you just flew. This time is good toward the 35 hours needed to receive your Private Pilot's License.
